Scott completed his mechanical apprenticeship before moving into internal operations positions in a Western Sydney Ford/Hyundai dealership and later at a Toyota/Nissan/KIA dealership.
Scott joined the NRMA in early 2002 as a Vehicle Inspector and later moved into the role of Area Support Manager for the North of the state, during this time he gained qualifications in training and business management. Scott specialised in Prestige, Sports and Vintage inspection and in this role he regularly completed technical and legal reports to be used in mediation and court related matters and also by the media.
Scott then moved into the national role of Product Research Analyst completing new car technical research and various national projects for the Australian and New Zealand Motoring Clubs and then working as NRMA’s Motoring Research Officer completing new vehicle evaluations including track performance testing and road testing within NRMA's Member Motoring unit. Scott is currently the Manager of the NRMA Member Motoring department and is actively involved in the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) assisting with technical evaluation and the post crash assessment of test vehicles.
As well as bringing the youthful element to Australia's Best Cars, the 35-year-old and has a family with three sons and has a practical understanding of what a young family requires in a modern motor vehicle.
